Staff Software Engineer, AI & Security Analytics

Netmonastery | DNIF Hypercloud | Bloo, Mumbai | April 2026–September 2026

I led and contributed to AI/ML work for cybersecurity analytics, including user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), analyst-assistance workflows, and agentic AI systems for security operations. My work included adapting solutions to customer data and operating environments, and helping engineering teams build AI-supported security workflows.

Senior Data Scientist

Netmonastery | DNIF Hypercloud | Bloo, Mumbai | October 2023–December 2025

I developed AI/ML capabilities for a security analytics platform, including automated log-source onboarding, detection-rule knowledge generation, threat attribution, incident-response playbooks, and explainable anomaly detection. Automation of log analysis and detection-content workflows reduced associated manual effort by approximately 40%. I also enhanced MITRE ATT&CK analytics to help teams assess detection coverage and identify telemetry gaps.

Systools Software Pvt. Limited, Pune | November 2022–October 2023

I helped organizations implement information security management practices aligned with ISO/IEC 27002 and prepare for ISO/IEC 27001 audits. By streamlining audit readiness, I helped reduce an audit process from four days to four hours.

Academic experience

Visiting Faculty and Assistant Professor

Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT), Pune | September 2013–present

I served as Assistant Professor from 2013 to 2022 and have continued as Visiting Faculty since 2022. I have taught more than 3,000 people across my career, including postgraduate students, military veterans, and industry professionals. At SCIT, I taught deep learning, machine learning, and cybersecurity in MBA programmes in IT Business Management and Data Science and Analytics.

My academic contributions also included programme and examination leadership, mentoring the information security club and Null Chapter, supporting the ISACA Student Chapter, and initiating a community partnership with Nullcon to strengthen industry–academia engagement.

Assistant Professor

A.K.I.’s Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune | July 2010–June 2013

I taught undergraduate and postgraduate computer science courses, including software engineering, advanced networking, information systems security, relational databases, digital image processing, and soft computing. I also coordinated the department’s Unison event and contributed to institutional committees and the National Service Scheme.
